One of the selling points of wine-dispensing machines, such as those at Uncork, is they allow customers to quickly taste their way through what’s on offer.

The new King Street wine bar’s food menu takes a similar approach, consolidating choices from other area restaurants for easy sampling. In addition to cheese and charcuterie, Uncork is serving hummus and baba ganoush from Leyla, as well as macaroons from Saveurs du Monde.

“We want our guests to feel like they’re at home with the added bonus of having gourmet treats,” a press release from the wine bar quotes co-owner Mark Rosenberg as saying.

Uncork, 476 King St., is open from 4 p.m.-midnight on weekdays, and noon-midnight on the weekend. For more information, visit uncorkcharleston.com or call 854-222-3939.
