A year and a half after opening Ella + Ollie’s, a Southern seafood restaurant that sets the tone for dinner with a baguette accompanied by olive oil and whipped lemon ricotta cheese, chef-owner Brandon Rushing has come up with a casual, lunch-only adjunct.

At E&O Taco, the menu centers on Lowcountry interpretations of taqueria standards, such as a shrimp taco with green tomato chow chow (although the restaurant also departs from its stated script to riff on the Korean pork tacos that have become synonymous with the “playful, street food-inspired” vibe that E&O is after.) The Edisto Beach restaurant also serves soups and sweets.
