Mad River Bar & Grille contents up for auction

Mad River's smoked gouda, roasted pepper with bacon mac & cheese at the 3rd Annual Mac Off held at the Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park.

Fans of the late Mad River Bar & Grille can’t go back to the downtown bar, but they can still take shots from its Fireball dispenser – if they’re willing to pony up the right price.

The bar is now liquidating its inventory in an online auction, running through Wednesday at 8 p.m. Items up for bid include beer taps, signs and Mad River swag, such as sunglasses and water bottles.

“Mad River had a good run,” says Darren Boulton, co-owner of PCI Auctions with former Mad River employee Andria Rogers. “Nine years for any bar or restaurant is very impressive.”

The nine-year run ended on Nov. 1.

On Feb. 17, PCI is hosting a preview of the no-reserve auction at its warehouse, 7171 Bryhawke Circle #400. The session runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
