Today is National Fried Chicken Day! Bet you didn't know about this famous holiday that comes after the Fourth of July, when we all had our fill from the grill.
If you want to honor food, July is a great time to do it. It is also Baked Bean Month, Hot Dog Month and Ice Cream Month.
Because there are so many tasty treats, here are a few other days to trot out your favorite recipes, according to statesymbolsusa.org. July 7 is National Macaroni Day; July 12, National Pecan Pie Day; July 25, National Hot Fudge Sundae Day (say that fast three times); and July 28, National Hamburger Day.
And just in case you are a gourmet eater, July 18 is National Caviar Day.
All the treats fit together since this month is also National Picnic Month. Now all we have to do is find a park with some shade and make that pina colada, which is honored July 10.
