Wine & Beer & Benefit: Freshfields Village and Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic host fourth annual Lowcountry Wine and Beer Tasting from 4-7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The festival will offer wines from over the world and an array of crafted beers, accompanied by Lowcountry cuisine and live music. Proceeds go to Barrier Island Free Medical Clinic.
Ticket are $30 in advance or $35 at the gate. In Freshfields Village, tickets are available at Beachwalker Rentals, Indigo Books, Kiawah Island Real Estate, Resort Quest, Guest Services at Freshfields Village. Brew & BBQ: Woodlands Inn is hosting an outdoor Brew & BBQ Dinner on Sept. 8 in conjunction with Palmetto Brewery. The three-course, four-beer dinner event begins at 6:30 p.m. in Woodlands' herb garden, and features appetizers, beer samplings and live music. Dinner is at the Inn's Grand Oaks courtyard with an interactive kitchen and community tables. Cost is $49 excluding tax and gratuity. Reservations required; call 308-2115. Underground dining: Renata Dos Santos, owner of My Personal Chef LLC, is launching a new underground supper club, LIME (Local. Impromptu. Moveable. Evening.). The club's first event will be 5 p.m. Sept. 18. The location will be revealed two days prior. Tickets are $125, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Simply Divine Garden, a local nonprofit that plants personalized organic gardens for cancer patients.
