I was off yesterday, so I had coconut cake for breakfast. It was Pepperidge Farm: It’s that square cake you buy frozen in a white box. And I had a double espresso.

It was a big piece of cake. I don’t think I ate anything the rest of the day until dinner. Yeah, that was all I ate until dinner.

So I made gnocchi with like a cream sauce and bacon and peas and onions and then it was topped with seared shrimp. They have shelf-stable gnocchi that are kind of soft, I don’t know if you’ve seen them: I got them at Walmart. It was really rich. It was delicious, but it did not agree with me at all. I was up all night.
