What is it?
Hardscoop is a local distillery producing 16-proof alcohol-enhanced ice cream.
What’s the story?
Founder Jason Kirby, along with his parents, brother-in-law Chris Ledbetter and friend Rachel Solomon explored the world of “Distilled Spirits Specialties” category to find placement for their idea of adult ice cream.
Federal alcohol regulations are vigorous and the team not only had to establish the narrow window where ice cream stays frozen and maintains texture but also is in compliance with federal and state liquor license requirements.
Their product is 16-proof alcohol. Core flavors are vanilla, chocolate and coffee.
Fall saw the launch of Pumpkin Spice and this holiday season Eggnog and Peppermint Bark made their debuts.

Peppermint Bark is flavored with Sweet Juleps Peppermint Bark and broadcasts a refreshing minty profile.
All of Hardscoop’s flavors are made with neutral grain spirits. This is ice cream for adults.
Try their holiday flavors sandwiched between gingerbread cookies, in an adult milkshake or layered into a chocolate cookie piecrust for a seasonal and easy holiday dessert.
