Four Charleston restaurants made Tripadvisor's latest list of the top 25 fine-dining establishments in the United States.
Halls Chophouse's Charleston location rang in at No. 3 on the fine-dining list along with the comment, “All accolades are entirely deserved. Everyone truly strives to provide the best service possible. And they succeed absolutely! Ambiance, service, food — everything is a 10!”
The multi-location South Carolina steakhouse was followed on the list by Circa 1886 at No. 9. The downtown carriage house restaurant was paired with the comment, "Food is flavor, and if you don't swoon over your first bite, it’s just food. Be prepared to swoon. Chef Collins creates masterpieces of flavor, presentation and creativity.”
Next came hotel eatery Peninsula Grill at No. 14. “Come for the charm, stay for the coconut cake," the caption reads.
Rounding out the list at No. 25 was 82 Queen for its "high end Southern comfort food."
Charleston stacked up more honors than any other city, including New York City with three restaurants on the list. New Orleans, Yountville, Calif., and Santa Fe, N.M., had two features each.
Halls Chophouse and High Cotton snagged the top two slots for best brunch in the United States on Tripadvisor, beating out New York City's Nomo Soho restaurant, while Acme Lowcountry Kitchen on Isle of Palms was selected as No. 12 on the top everyday eats in the United States list.
"Our hearts are full of gratitude," Halls posted on social media in response to the accolades. "To our incredibly talented staff, thank you. You embody true hospitality every day. We are who we are because of you. To our guests, it is an honor to serve you."
