Sometimes we surprise ourselves here at Moxie. A few of us took up forms of exercise as adults — running, yoga — that never would have appealed to us as kids because we felt we were unathletic or uncoordinated.

But now we find solace, strength and motivation doing those things that are fun and maybe even good for us. On the other hand, a few of us recently discovered that there can be more to video games than shoot-'em-up stuff when we tried the Wii for the first time. One Moxie gal had a pretty great bowling score on her first try.

So here's this week's question:

What hobby or activity have you picked up that you either actively disliked or never would have done as a child or teen, whether you were afraid of being embarrassed or just afraid of failing?

Tell us about your fabulous skills at lacrosse or your top score on your favorite video game or your prize-winning garden.

You could win an I've Got Moxie coffee mug.

Congrats to last week's winner, Katie Link of Johns Island. Turn the page to read what she's up to today.
