Here at Charleston Savvy Shopper, we are always on the lookout for the best ways to save money. You can read about all the sales and deals we find and participate with us on the Charleston Savvy Shopper blog.

Here are just a few of the great deals you can find on the blog:

Look out for a new coupon booklet at your local Publix store called “Healthy Habits Start With You.” It's loaded with all sorts of store and manufacturer coupons, from diabetic supplies to milk and toothpaste, all totaling more than $60. Savvy blogger Teri Bennett found one at the pharmacy counter at the James Island store. Be sure to ask your local Publix pharmacist about it. This will be a nice addition to your coupon collection.

Savvy blogger Dawn Berger discovered a quirky, cool new shop in downtown Summerville called Calibrie's Needful Things. It is at 208-B N. Cedar St. They sell antiques, jewelry and unusual items. Through April 19, they are offering 20 percent off all costume and vintage jewelry. Call 771-7889 or visit

In Mount Pleasant, Savvy blogger Aya Khalil says we can save up to 50 percent today and Saturday at Uptown Cheapskate, 665 Johnnie Dodds Blvd. Call 216-1416.

Through April 30, Walgreens is offering a fantastic deal when you transfer a prescription to one of its pharmacies. After completing the transfer information online, you will be able to print a coupon for a $25 gift card (make sure to look for the link on your confirmation page) to take with you to the store when you pick up your order. The pharmacist should give you the gift card. Visit or call 877-250-5823.

Congratulations to Annette Matuskovic for winning last week's Home Team BBQ ticket giveaway to go see Give Thanks Band and Father Dale, a reggae band from Trinidad, on April 19 on Sullivan's Island.

The restaurant hosts Island Reggae 9 p.m.-midnight Thursdays.

Enjoy music and Jamaican-inspired specials each week. Visit or call 883-3131.
