What: This workshop will discuss methods to help dogs that are fearful of other dogs, people, objects and specific situations. The workshop also will demonstrate skills to build your dog’s confidence and help him in situations that are frightening. You’ll leave with tools to help your dog become more relaxed and happy. No dogs, just humans.

What: For anyone with a new puppy at home or who is thinking of getting one, the Puppy Kindergarten program is essential. This is a seven-week class. The lessons the pups will learn during this critical socialization period will affect them for the rest of their lives. It is imperative to begin socializing at this early age — in other words, teach puppies to learn how welcome and be comfortable with an assortment of people, places, sights, surfaces, dogs, other animals and sounds.

What: Puppy Club members are invited to join a monthly play date to learn proper socialization techniques. Puppy Club members also learn to identify fear, play and anger body language as well as receive free Bark Busters tips to help them through all the stages of their puppies’ first year. Each month you must register, as space is limited. Bring proof of current vaccinations to each play date. Puppies must have all vaccinations (16 weeks and older).

What: This three-day mini-camp is for children ages 12-16 who love their dogs and want to learn how to bond with them. Time for a craft and art for their dog as well. Work off some of that energy for you and your dog.

What: This class will give a basic understanding of using a marker/reward system to train your dog. Dogs must be over 6 months. Bring a hungry dog and lots of small soft treats, a regular 6-foot or shorter leash (no extendable leashes) and a crate (optional).
