Elton John is coming back to the Lowcountry.

On March 7 at 8 p.m., he and his road show return to the North Charleston Coliseum. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 28.

Since the famed singer-songwriter began in 1969, he has played nearly 3,000 concerts worldwide, firmly establishing his credentials as one of the top-selling solo artists in history, with 35 gold and 25 platinum albums. All told, he has sold more than 250 million records, and counting.

His current tour features memorable chart hits and album tracks from his five-decade career, among them "Your Song," "Rocket Man," "Bennie and the Jets," "Philadelphia Freedom" and "Crocodile Rock."

Ticket prices start at $37 and will be available online at www.Ticketmaster.com, at the North Charleston Coliseum box office, or by calling 800-745-3000. There is an eight-ticket limit per group.
