The city of Charleston will hold its fourth annual New Year's Eve celebration today, a family-friendly, alcohol-free event.

Happy New Year, Charleston! will be from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. This year's installment will be centered around Marion Square, where there will be a "KidsFest Tent," along with lots of live music, arts and crafts and food vendors. Other venues — Second Presbyterian Church, Citadel Square Baptist Church and Theatre 99 — will host classical musical as well as performance theater.
