Locally produced ‘Into the Wild’ wins Emmy

Dave Morgan, president and CEO of the Charleston-based production company Litton Entertainment, has won a Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award for Outstanding Children’s Series with “Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild.”

Airing locally on Sundays on WCBD-TV, the program is one of a group of shows produced by Litton Entertainment.

Litton also announced that “Wild Countdown with Jack Hanna,” which airs locally on Saturday mornings on WCIV, was the highest rated new first-run series this season, according to the Nielsen ratings service.

“Wild Countdown” is one of six shows in Litton’s Weekend Adventure block of family programming, which also features the Emmy-nominated “Born to Explore,” produced and directed by Charleston-based filmmaker John Barnhardt.
