Thomas and Judy Heath, playwrights-in-residence at Threshold Repertory Theatre and creators of the award-winning comedy “Perfectly Normel People,” have chosen Charleston County School of the Arts junior Hannah Kelly and her short play “Something Blue” for its first ever workshop production at 8 p.m. April 17 and 18.

The performance is part of “An Evening of Words & Actors II,” an annual fundraiser for Threshold’s Young Playwrights Program.

“We were very impressed with the intelligence and humor of Hannah’s words,” Judy Heath said in a statement. “It was an honor to work with her on ways to take the script to the next level.”

Jason Olson, program coordinator for the Young Playwrights Program, is directing “Something Blue.” The 90-minute program also will include the workshop premiere of the Heath’s new dark comedy “Hostage Bride,” as well as a staged reading of their new screenplay.

Tickets are $25, available at www.thresholdrep.org or by calling (843) 277-2172.
