THE BASICS: The Palace at the Chateau of Versailles is open 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. every day except Mondays. The last admission is 6 p.m. The Trianon Palaces and Marie-Antoinette's Estate are open noon-6:30 p.m. every day except Monday. The Gardens and Park are open daily. TAKING A TOUR: In addition to the offerings from the chateau, a variety of tours during regular chateau hours can be arranged through private tour operators. You'll find some options at en.parisinfo.com (look under "Trips and tours" ).

ADMISSION: A "Passport" offers access to the palace, grounds, Trianon Palaces and Marie-Antoinette's Estate. From Nov. 1-March 31, the cost is 16 euros (about $21). Tickets to the Trianon Palaces, or Marie-Antoinette's Estate, are available for 6 euros (about $8). A season ticket, good for a year, costs 30 euros (about $40).
