Johns Island resident Howard Siegel has published an ebook called “Kill All the Isms,” available as a Kindle download from Amazon for $5.99.

“Kill All the Isms” is a humorous consideration of secular and religious ideologies— such as communism, capitalism, conservatism, pacifism, patriotism and creationism — and the venality, megalomania and shamelessness of some of their salesmen.

Greenville resident Susan M. Boyer has published “Lowcountry Boil: A Liz Talbot Mystery,” winner of the 2012 Agatha Best First Novel Award and Daphne du Maurier Award.

Liz Talbot, a modern Southern belle, carries her Sig 9 mm in a Kate Spade handbag and rides shotgun in her hybrid Escape. When her grandmother is slain, she returns to South Carolina to find the killer.

“Lowcountry Boil” is sold in paperback ($15.95) and ebook ($4.99) by online retailers.
