FBI releases new photos of 'Limping Bandit'

The FBI today released new photographs of a suspected serial bank robber and in a press release dubbed him the "Limping Bandit."

The heavyset man, who has freckles, red or strawberry blond hair and walks with a limp, is thought to be responsible for at least 19 armed bank robberies in the Southeast, including one in Mount Pleasant and three in Summerville.

He is so quiet and discreet during his crimes that people nearby don't realize he is was robbing the bank.

The man is age 30 to 50, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall and 190 to 250 pounds. He has worn a collared shirt, baseball cap and sunglasses.
