REEVESVILLE -- A family of four is without a home after fire destroyed their house Monday.

The fire started about 3 p.m. at 168 Sunnydale Road in Reevesville.

The two adults and two children were not hurt.

Volunteers with the Carolina Lowcountry Chapter of the American Red Cross provided the family with money to help replace their food and clothing. They also gave the family members comfort kits and stuffed animals for the children.

The organization has helped 329 people who were forced from their homes by fire since Jan. 1.
