The driver of a brown Chrysler died at Medical University Hospital today after the car in which he was driving was struck by another vehicle this morning on Dorchester Road, according to Spencer Pryor, spokesman for the North Charleston Police Department.
Pryor said the driver of the Chrysler had exited Interstate 526 and failed to stop at the traffic control device at the Dorchester Road intersection. The driver proceeded onto Dorchester Road. A red Chevrolet then struck his car.
Officers responded to the call at 11:03 a.m. EMS transported two people to Medical University Hospital. A third vehicle was hit with debris, but nobody is in it was injured, Pryor said. The accident remains under investigation.
