Dorchester County Council is set to give first-reading approval to borrowing up to $15 million for projects that include buying and expanding St. George's sewer plant, hopefully to attract more industries to the upper part of the county. The deal would raise sewer rates throughout the county about $3 a month.
Council meets at 7 p.m. today at the county services building at North Main Street and East 5th Street North in Summerville, with the entrance to council chamber in the rear off North Cedar Street.
The agenda, which also includes other items, can be found online here.
