HOLLYWOOD — Charleston County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a light-colored Ford Crown Victoria in connection with a shooting that occurred at a rap studio Tuesday night.

Authorities say a deputy found 26-year-old William Woods of Hollywood shot three times near the intersection of S.C. Highways 162 and 165. Medical University Hospital officials did not have a condition for Woods but friends said Wednesday he is recovering well.

An incident report says a deputy was conducting a traffic stop nearby at 8 p.m. when he heard multiple gunshots. The deputy drove to the tall white building with green shutters and heard a man's voice calling for help.

The victim told the deputy he had been shot in the chest. Maj. John Clark said deputies detained three men on the scene for questioning but they were let go.

Investigators are asking for the public's help in finding the car that Clark described as being a newer model Crown Victoria.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 554-1111.
