Two men accused of fatally shooting another man in North Charleston in 2010 are slated for trial next week.
Christopher Gadsden and Stanley Greene both face murder charges in connection with the death of 35-year-old Arthur Singleton III on May 25, 2010. Singleton died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers responding to reports of shots fired found Singleton lying in front of his home at 2667 Ferrara Drive at about 4:30 p.m. that day, according to police officials. Singleton managed to give those officers a description of the suspects’ vehicle before he died at Medical University Hospital.
Police caught up with a matching car on Dorchester Road, but the driver refused to pull over, and both men bailed out of the car on Blanton Street, according to police. Officers caught up with Gadsden, the passenger, after a short chase and arrested Greene at a home on Barony Park Lane, police said.
Court officials will determine on Monday which cases on the week’s docket will advance to trial.
