Harbour Town Golf Links is short by PGA Tour standards, but two of professional golf's longest hitters are the latest players who have committed to play in this year's 40th annual Verizon Heritage.

J.B. Holmes, a third-year pro from Kentucky, who is No. 2 this year in driving distance, and John Daly, No. 12 on the driving distance rankings, have each committed to play in the tournament, which will be held April 14-20. Holmes is averaging 310.2 yards on his measured drives this year while Daly's average is 296.8 yards. Holmes has made the cut in both of his Heritage starts. Daly has played in the Heritage six times, missed two cuts and finished 36th last year, same as Holmes.

Also committing was Brandt Snedeker, last year's PGA Tour rookie of the year. Snedeker, who won in Greensboro last year, finished fourth at the 2005 Heritage and tied for 16th last year.
