Crowfield and Pine Forest both turned in scores of 29 points to share first place in the Charleston Area Men's Interclub Golf Association match played at Coosaw Creek Country Club.

Shadowmoss finished one point behind, while Stono Ferry finished with 27 and Dunes West and Legend Oaks shared fifth with 26 points.

Ray Brock of Dunes West and Skip Godow of Stono Ferry were the top individuals with 10 points, while Steve Windich and Mike Sujka of Coosaw Creek, Norm Shwarts of Wescott and Jim Thomson of Crowfield each tallied 9 points.

Stono Ferry leads the overall standings with 60 points, followed by: Wescott, 57.5; Pine Forest, 53.5; Dunes West, 51.5; and Crowfield, 51.

The South Carolina Junior Golf Association's Little Legends program is underway throughout the state, including programs in Summerville and Mount Pleasant. Golfers 12 and under form teams and compete against each other on a weekly basis throughout the summer while adhering to a captain's choice format. Teams are introduced to on-course play on a “short course” setup which offers yardages around 250 yards for par-5s, 200 yards on par-4s and 100 yards or less for par-3s. Visit

The 29th annual BI-LO Charity Classic golf tournament will be held June 2-4 at 11 courses in Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina.
