Public Notice Town of Summerville Substantial Amendment: 2020-2024 CDBG Consolidated Plan The Town of Summerville has prepared a Substantial Amendment for its 2020-2024 CDBG Consolidated Action Plan which is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). A Substantial Amendment is required when projects are added or removed from an approved Plan or if more than 10% of awarded allocations are moved between eligible activities. A public hearing to obtain input on the Substantial Amendment to the Town's 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan will be held on May 8, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Summerville Town Hall, 200 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. All interested parties are encouraged to attend to offer comments on the Substantial Amendment. Below is a summary of the amended project activities being proposed for the 2020-2024 Consolidated Action Plan: Proposed Activity Add: This Consolidated Plan has been amended to include a priority need for the Removal of Slum & Blight and a goal for Demolition Total Substantial Amendment Allocation Proposed Amendment $29,550.00 $ 29,550.00 A 30-day comment period on the Substantial Amendment will commence on April 7, 2021 and conclude on May 8, 2021. Written comments on the Substantial Amendment should be addressed to P.J. Harbert, Grants Writer, at the address listed above. During the comment period, a copy of the Substantial Amendment will be available for public review Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at Summerville Town Hall, Grant Writers Office. The Substantial Amendment will also be available on the Town's website at www.summervillesc.gov under the CDBG menu tab.
