This week was a glorious week in South Carolina music. The ninth annual Scene SC sampler was released, featuring 24 new songs from musicians across the Palmetto State. A lot of those musicians happen to be the current up-and-coming names right here in Charleston.

So, we had to talk to the founder of Scene SC, David Stringer, about how he creates the annual sampler, what goes into his blog and how he's been an integral part in the statewide music scene for a decade.

We play some brand new tracks from the sampler, including two of our picks along with three picks from Stringer.

You can listen now to find out some of our favorite tracks.
