Today marks International Tiger Day. Tigers are an important part of their regional fauna, both culturally and biologically speaking. Though a beloved animal to people the world over, our treatment of tigers has been shoddy at best.

Thus, today we take the time to better understand this keystone species, and maybe see them as something more than a drawing in a child’s picture book.
