Comedian Jim Gaffigan jokes about fatherhood, laziness and food, among other subjects.

Three-time Grammy nominated comedian, actor, writer and producer Jim Gaffigan is coming to North Charleston.

The two-time New York Times best-selling author announced additional dates to his "The Fixer Upper Tour," and among the new slots are a stop at the North Charleston Coliseum at 8 p.m. on August 17.

Gaffigan, whose comedy revolves around his laugh-worthy observations on life, food, fatherhood and more, is also an Emmy-winning top touring performer in addition to his role as a father of five. Talk about actual dad jokes...

Yes, you just watched a comedy routine about Hot Pockets. You're welcome.

This year, Gaffigan will be releasing or starting production for 10 films ranging from comedy to drama to thriller to fantasy to animation. Additionally, he will release a new stand-up special, "NOBLE APE," while also continuing his international arena and theater tour.

Tickets for the Coliseum show will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the North Charleston Coliseum Advance Ticket Office, charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 and online at www.Ticketmaster.com.
