Watch: Local band Matadero’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert Contest Entry

Lindsay Holler is the lead singer of Matadero.

Charleston-based rock band Matadero is vying to be the next great thing to sit behind NPR’s famed Tiny Desk.

The group — featuring lead singer Lindsay Holler, drummer Ron Wiltrout, George Baerreis on bass and Sam Sfirri on keys — filmed a music video for “Keep Bleeding” at the Tin Roof to submit to NPR’s 2016 Tiny Desk Concert Contest.

Other local musicians played roles in the production, too, including Weigh Station’s drummer Stuart White behind the camera, local guitarist Thomas Kenney, who handled the audio recording, and some cameos by McKenzie Eddy and Elliott Smith of the Very Hypnotic Soul Band.
