The South Carolina Aquarium started the year with the launch of a new consumer-driven seafood initiative called Ask Before You Order, a part of its recently rebranded Good Catch program (previously known at the Sustainable Seafood Initiative). To kick-off the re-branding, the Aquarium is holding its first Good Catch Oyster Fest. The event will feature some of Charleston’s best local cuisine to support sustainable seafood, including oysters from St. Jude Farms and dishes from partners Fish Restaurant, Fleet Landing Restaurant and Pane e Vino. Live bluegrass music will be provided by The Bluestone Ramblers, and a full bar will include craft beer from Holy City Brewing. The event is for ages 21 and up with proceeds supporting Good Catch.
