Pixies coming to North Charleston Performing Arts Center in May; tickets on sale Friday

The Pixes — David Lovering, Joey Santiago and Black Francis — will make a stop at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center in May.

Having played more than 120 shows across four continents over an 18-month period, the Pixies will take to the road again this spring, including a stop at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on May 11 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday.

The tour will also set the stage for the debut of some brand-new Pixies songs, written and arranged just in the past few months.

For these dates, the group — Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering — will be joined by touring bassist Paz Lenchain, who has been playing with the band since January 2014. All headline shows will feature a new and more varied set packed with songs from the entire Pixies catalogue.

Tickets will be $49.50 to $59.50, plus applicable fees. They will be available at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-745-3000 and the North Charleston Coliseum Advance Ticket Office.
