Rock legend Paul McCartney is playing in Columbia on June 25 at Colonial Life Arena, according to an announcement released Tuesday.

His last performance in the state’s capital was in 1993 at Williams Brice Stadium as part of his “New World Tour” that year.

The South Carolina show and a performance in Charlottesville, Va. were just added to the string of dates on his international “Out There” tour, which, aside from five shows scheduled in the United States, will mostly remain in Europe this Summer.
