The Palmetto Music Festival is touting itself as a “country hick hop” festival, featuring genre-crossing country, Southern rock and rap acts, such as The Lacs (Georgia), known for songs about beer drinking and mud-bogging (endearingly referred to as “Southern-influenced poems,” according to the band’s website), and alternative country and hip-hop artist Demun Jones (Georgia), both on Colt Ford’s Average Joes record label.
Also performing will be country rap singer-songwriter, Lenny Cooper (North Carolina), also known as the Crown Prince of the Mud Diggers ... he, too, has a love of mud-bogging. Redneck Souljers (Tennessee) will also take the stage, along with local country/rockabilly/Americana artist Brady Smith as the opening act.
Coolers will not be allowed but concessions will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets. Ages 10 years and older only.
