No laughing matter: Pull out a cellphone, get kicked out of Kevin Hart show

Those attending comedian Kevin Hart’s performance at the North Charleston Coliseum this evening better have an iron-clad memory if they want to remember the occasion.

The venue has issued an alert, per Hart’s request, that “the use of phones, cameras and recording devices of any kind is strictly prohibited while inside the Coliseum. Texting, tweeting, photographing and talking are not allowed. Anyone caught doing so will be asked to leave the building and will not receive a refund.”

The comedian and star of the film “Get Hard” has issued the same alert in other cities he’s performed in recently during his “What Now?” tour, according to multiple news reports.

Alan Coker, director of marketing for the venue, said there has been no explanation of Hart’s strict cellphone policy, and that it is “not the norm” at the Coliseum.

He said they are expecting a “capacity crowd” for the performance Wednesday evening, so parking will be tight.
