Recently named one of USA Today’s Top 10 “Historic Homes for the Holidays,” Boone Hall again hosts their “casual but elegant affair” Wine Under the Oaks, which has become one of the premier holiday events in the Lowcountry. The event, which moved to the expansive back lawn last year, continues to grow and expand, this year offering more than 125 fine wine labels for sampling from more than 20 wineries and distributors. Attendees will also enjoy a wine and food pairing exhibit, breads and spreads, oyster sampling, wine and cooking demonstrations, and the champagne and desserts samples. Live entertainment will be provided by The Gullah Singers and Grammy-winning soul singer Booker T. Jones. The event is for ages 21 and over.

Conflict MMA Promotions’ Charleston Fight Night at the Point series has outgrown its venue, so the event has partnered with the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center to bring fans Carolina Cage Fights 15. Fighters that will take to the cage include Chad Booth, CJ Hamilton, Arnold Adams and Adrian Henderson, among others. The title fight of the night, the 145-pound pro title main event, will see Shah Bobonis face off against Shane Crenshaw.

Put on by Camp Happy Days, this annual holiday party benefits their year-round programs for South Carolina’s children fighting cancer. What started as a tree-trimming party in an apartment 24 years ago, the event has grown into one of the can’t-miss holiday events. Shopping With Friends, an annual fundraiser for Lowcountry AIDS Services, is celebrating 10 years with a new twist on the event and even more retail and restaurant partners. A pre-shopping event called Casablanca Night will make its inaugural appearance. With attire designated as ’40s glamour, the ball will feature a 14-piece big band, presented by Charlton Singleton, a Moroccan banquet and an open bar. The next day, join the crowd descending on more than 100 Red Ribbon Retailers and Restaurants, which will donate 10 percent of purchases to Lowcountry AIDS Services.
