Lowcountry Highrollers to take on two teams from North Carolina at next home bout

The Lowcountry Highrollers are due for the next home bout, and they’re challenging two of North Carolina’s top roller derby teams. Split into two rounds, the first group is the Bruisin’ Betties, who will face off against the Carolina Bootleggers of Raleigh, and the second group, LCHR All Stars, will take on the Appalachian Rollergirls of Boone. Beer from Pabst Blue Ribbon and Holy City Brewing will be for sale on-site, and hula-hoop performers with Homespun Hoops will show off their skills during a halftime show. Profits from the event will be donated to the Genesis Project, an initiative to provide children in rural areas of Charleston County more access to public pools for swim instructions and water safety programs. An after-party for the event will be at Cantina’s Burgers Tacos & Beer, 9730 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
