Jazz up your mid-week with “Chicago” at the PAC

The classic Broadway musical “Chicago” makes its way to the Lowcountry this week as a part of the The North Charleston Performing Arts Center’s Best of Broadway series.

The Tony- and Grammy Award-winning production is a story of fame, fortune and revenge set to the tune of the glamorous Jazz Age, with well-known songs such as “All That Jazz” and “Cell Block Tango.” After making its debut on Broadway in 1996, the show was adapted for a Miramax film in 2002 starring Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renee Zellweger. Today, “Chicago” is the longest-running American musical on Broadway, and the traveling production continues to tour the globe.
