Greek Festival, Gibbes Street Party still happening despite stormy weather

The 45th Greek Festival will offer a taste of all things Greek, from dancing to cuisine.

Although a storm off the Carolina coast is expected to continue sending rain and winds in the Lowcountry’s direction this weekend, two big events are still happening as planned.

The Gibbes has moved its Street Party this evening to the Visitor’s Center Bus Shed at 375 Meeting Street. It starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Charleston Greek Festival, which celebrates its 45th year this weekend, has set up tents in front of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity at 30 Race St. for the weekend-long event that starts at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
