Water Ball

Charleston Waterkeeper, a local nonprofit that is dedicated to protecting Lowcountry waterways, will again host its popular Water Ball to raise funds for its initiatives. The fifth annual event will highlight the role water plays in Charleston's community through live music, decadent food and interactive art. Attendees will dance the night away to a variety of musical talents while sipping on libations and enjoying dishes with products from or inspired by the water. New this year will be a " 'water machine' work of art in which guest are invited to thread a ribbon through a loom."

When: 7-11 p.m. today

Where: S.C. Aquarium, 100 Aquarium Wharf
