Brave Baby debuted a new music video today in an exclusive Charleston Scene premiere highlighting two tracks from “Electric Friends,” their sophomore album released last month.
The local indie band filmed the performance at the Charleston Music Hall in June, a month after playing a nearly sold-out album release show at the venue.
The video, produced by Drew Gardner and the local media firm The Royal Wild, features “Atlantean Dreams” and “Be Alright,” two of the band’s favorite tracks from the album, according to lead singer Keon Masters.
“On the album, these two tracks bleed into one another and it has become my favorite “movement” of the record. I love both of these songs individually, but together expose a large spectrum of our sound and I’m really fond of that,” he said. “We knew we wanted to create a live video, but wanted it to be a bit more of a performance piece, so we thought by presenting these tunes together like they are on the album, we could accomplish that.
The new video is one of two live recordings the band has lined up this week. While in New York for a show at the Bowery Electric on Wednesday, Brave Baby will film a live video session for Relix Magazine at the publication’s headquarters, which will debut online at Relix.com.
