Dancing at Drayton
Drayton Hall will come alive after dark for the inaugural Midnight Masquerade this weekend, a party aimed at young professionals. The event is organized by the Palladian Circle, a networking group of young people who help support Drayton Hall and other historic preservation causes.
Guests can hit the dance floor with Mike Quinn and the Superfunk playing live funk music, or take moonlit tours of the historic plantation house. The bar will be manned by Spike Bar Service and Fork Catering and Fine Gourmet will dish up heavy hors d’oeuvres featuring Venetian, Spanish and New Orleans flavors.
Shuttles will provide transportation to and from the Hagood parking lot at MUSC. The first shuttle departs at 6:30 p.m. and the last one returns to the downtown parking lot at 11 p.m. All proceeds will support Drayton Hall’s preservation and educational outreach projects.
When: 6:30 p.m. Friday
Where: 3380 Ashley River Road, Charleston
Price: $100 for Palladian Circle members; $125 for nonmembers.
