The Charleston Museum is celebrating the opening of its new fashion exhibit, “Fashion Flashback, 1920s-1960s: Five Decades of Style that Changed America,” with an opening reception party. The exhibit, which will run through June 14 in the Historic Textiles Gallery, will display women’s and men’s clothing and accessories from the swinging 1920s all the way to the hip 1960s, offering a “light-hearted look at 50 years of fashion.” In honor of taking a step back in time to celebrate the fashion and culture of Charleston’s past, attendees of the opening reception party are encouraged to dress in vintage attire from their favorite decade to enjoy an evening of musical “throw-backs,” food, cocktails, wine, beer and more.
