Charleston Beer Garden offers 30 types of craft beers, games, live music

Attendees sample brews from Blue Moon at the Charleston Beer Garden.

How does a beer garden grow? Instead of silver bells and cockleshells, the Charleston Beer Garden has grown into one of the most popular beer events of the year with more than 30 types of craft beers, live music and all sorts of classic drinking games that could make anybody forget they’re no longer in college. This year, the event has relocated for the first time from Brittlebank Park to The Grove at Patriots Point. Live music starts at 12:30 p.m. with a performance by The High Divers, and continues throughout the day with sets from Lefty at the Washout, the Broadcast, Don Merckle & the Blacksmiths, and The Jaystorm Project. There will be a number of local artisan booths set up, food provided by local restaurants such as Bay Street Biergarten and Sticky Fingers, a mechanical bull and much more.
