Budweiser Clydesdales prance into town for multiple events next week

Next week won't be the Budweiser Clydesdales' first visit to Charleston. In 2006, the iconic hitch team made its way through The Market in downtown Charleston. (Tyrone Walker/staff/file).

The Budweiser Clydesdales are coming to Charleston next week promoting the hitch team’s 82nd year representing the Anheuser-Busch brewery.

The group of horses pulling the iconic red wagon will appear in Park Circle from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, the RiverDogs Game on April 23 at the Joe Riley Stadium, and during the Daniel Island Parade at 3:30 p.m. on April 26. The full hitch will also be displayed at the Grove at Patriots Point from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on April 25.

During the RiverDogs game next week, Southern Eagle Distributing, a major distributor in South Carolina of Budweiser and other beers, will present three Folds of Honor scholarships valued at $5,000 each to local military families.
