Brush and fork meet at Palette & Palate

Sylvan Gallery was a stop at a previous Palette and Palate Stroll.

Pairing your meal with a fine wine may highlight the flavor profile, but if you really want to heighten your senses, try pairing your next dinner on the town with fine art. This weekend, more than a dozen art galleries and local restaurants will link up for the 10th annual Palette & Palate Stroll. As attendees take a spin through downtown galleries, they’ll be treated to special creations from a different restaurant at each stop. For instance, Langdon’s and Opal will provide the bites at Corrigan Gallery, Zero Cafe and Bar will dish up treats at Dog & Horse Fine Art, and The Drawing Room will cater to the crowds at Robert Lange Studios. Many others are participating, too, so check out the full list at www.paletteand

palatestroll.com. “The event sells out every year and brings a fashionable crowd of art and food enthusiasts out to the streets in the middle of summer when things slow down a bit,” said Vladia Jurcova Spencer, who organizes the popular occasion each year. Attendees must purchase tickets in advance. On the night of the event, they can check in at any participating gallery.
