The 20th season of the family-friendly “Charleston Christmas Special” is in full swing at the Charleston Music Hall with its usual variety of classic carols and comedy sketches . If you haven’t had a chance to catch it during its opening week, there’s still a little more than a week’s worth of shows to make your holiday season bright. Former Broadway stars Brad and Jennifer Moranz moved to Charleston about 20 years ago and have been putting on the “Christmas Special” every holiday season since. The two write, cast and choreograph an all-new production each year, although many favorite elements and characters tend to make repeat appearances throughout the seasons, such as comedic ventriloquist Michael Minor. Two new actors join the cast this year: Malia Davis of the traveling “Evita” Broadway show, and Rodney Archie, the principal soloist with the Harlem Gospel Choir. To make it a full evening on the town, there is a dinner package available for $68 per person that includes a pre-fixe dinner before the show at Vincent Chicco’s, located next door to the Charleston Music Hall.
