When we get to the peak of summer, it can feel like the heat is beating you down, rather than vice versa. The swimming pools are more like bath tubs and the sand burns your feet. But just when you think there’s no good reason to go outdoors, we’re here to remind you that there’s always at least one good time to be had in the sunshine. This week, it’s Splash Day at Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park, where the town will set up an inflatable water park with big attractions like the “tropical plunge” and a smaller area of activities for young children.
Local day camps, families and any other children’s group are invited to the event, free of admission or parking fees. Food and beverages will be available.
When: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday
Where: Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park, 99 Harry Hallman Blvd., Mount Pleasant
