“Weird Al” Yankovic announced his 2015 Mandatory World Tour on Tuesday, a tour that includes a stop in North Charleston.
Slated to visit more 100 cities throughout North America, Europe and Australia, the tour follows the July release of Weird Al’s No. 1 album, “Mandatory Fun.” The album marks the first time in more than 50 years that a comedy album topped Billboard’s Top 200, and the first time that a comedy album debuted in the top spot.
“Mandatory Fun” has also been nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Album.
Yankovic is slated to perform at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Aug. 9.
