Aerial show set to classical music at the Cirque de la Symphonie

Aerialist Christine Van Loo will perform in Cirque de la Symphonie on Saturday at the Gaillard.

You may be limber for your age and a perfect representation of health, but sometimes, well, you get tired. Prepare for inspiration in Christine Van Loo. Absolutely spectacular.

Van Loo, a professional aerialist and acrobat, is one of the performers at Cirque de la Symphonie, presented by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra POPS on Saturday. Van Loo, Russian aerial artist Alexander Streltsov, the “Red Harlequin” Vladimir Tsarkov and others will amaze with gymnastic feats and contortion, utilizing silks, cubes, trapeze, rings, batons, hoops and more ... but no lions and tigers and bears, oh my ... all choreographed to classical masterpieces performed by the orchestra, conducted by Yuriy Bekker. Just make sure you stretch before you go.
